He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Malcolm and Nettie Cox Avore; and his siblings, Lieutenant Malcolm Arthur Avore and Mary Avore. He is survived by: his wife Camille; his sister Nancy Avore of Rockland; his sons, Christopher (Karen), Colin and Sean Avore; his grandchildren, Riley, Courtney and Graeme Avore; his stepchildren, Brian Gilbert (Trish) and Karin Davidson (Ross); his stepgrandchildren, Brady, Finn Gilbert, Wyatt and Eleanor Davidson; his pet Independence; and his close friend Bubba.
