She was predeceased by: her husband Roger Barter Sr.; and her brothers, Harold, Raymond, Richard, Clayton and Arthur.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Barter of Sidney, Roger Barter of Sidney and Pamela Barter-Chessman of Sidney; her children-in-law, Chet and Margaret; her siblings, Millicent Tolman of Rockland and William Fowlie; her grandchildren, Brent, Ally, Tiffany, Nick, Morgan, Evan and Mackenzie; her great grandchild Margot; and her sisters-in-law, Alice Fowlie of Rockland and Jane Fowlie of Rockland.
In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth would prefer donations be made to the benefit of the Pope Memorial Humane Society, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841, as she was an avid animal lover and advocate of animal care and rights.
