He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Girard and Gertrude Girard (Tiechert). He is survived by: his wife Betsey Girard (Woike); his stepson Mathew of Texas; his brother-in-law James of Maine; and his brothers, Blaine of Connecticut and Ronald of Massachusetts. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
