He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Oakes and Hellen Oakes; and his brother Robert Emmons Oakes. He is survived by: his wife Muriel; his daughter Margaret Horstmann of Norton, MA; his grandchildren, Sam Horstmann and Sara Horstmann of Harrisville, R. I.; his daughter Cindy Oakes Dominguez (Brian) of Exeter, N. H.; and his granddaughter Shannon Dominguez of New York, N. Y.. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Peter's memory may be made to the Randolph United Methodist Church, 16 Asbury Street, Randolph, Maine 04346.
