She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank M. Cochran and Helen Cochran (Maki); her children, James Connon (Marguerite) of Rockland, Vickie Ladd (Bruce) of Lincolnville, Patti Tripp (Joel) of Randolph and Jill Hanley (Jeff) of Rockland; her grandchildren, Michael, Jason Paulsen (Jake), Brandy Oliver, Benjamin Connon, Bradford Grindle (Colby), Stacey Grindle, Jaclyn Cogswell, Darcy Estabrook, Northport, Dana Connon (Deanna) of Topsham and Tara Frost (Steve) of Winthrop; and her brothers, Harlan Cochran (Alice) of Waldoboro and Frank Cochran (Frankie). She was also cherished by many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made in Joan's memory to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, or the Kidney Cancer Association.
