She was predeceased by: her brother Alvin James; her half-siblings, Stephen James, Donald James, Clarence James and Muriel Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Melanson, Albert Melanson and Leah Durfy.
She is survived by: her husband Herbert Melanson; her sisters, Beulah Lane (John), Mary Moholland and Arlene Roussel (Imon); her sisters-in-law, Annette Melanson and Betty Monk (Greg); her half-brother Franklin James; her children, Jeannie Ferry (Robert) of Princeton, Laurie Greenlaw (James) of Grove City, OH, Renee O'Neill (Peter Cordner) of Orono, Wendy Melanson (John Shute) of Princeton, Holly Melanson (Gilbert Mattheson) of Dennysville and Herbert Melanson, Jr. (Alison) of Orono; her grandchildren, Robert Ferry Jr. (Jessica) of Hallowell, Michelle Ripley (Carl) of Baileyville, Melissa Stamper (Jared) of Grove City, OH, Matthew Greenlaw of Rochester, NY, Nathan O'Neill (Ava), Jeffrey Jones (Chelsey Plourde) of Ft. Kent, Lauren, Andrew Melanson of Orono and Christopher Plissey of Princeton; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Austin Ferry of Hallowell, Jameson, Maverick Stamper of Grove City, OH, Sophia and Avery Ripley of Baileyville. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID restrictions, a graveside service will be held in the spring at the Princeton Cemetery.
