Sylvia Pelkey Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2023, at the age of 93, Sylvia Pelkey of Presque Isle, Maine, born in Upper Frenchville, Maine passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylvia Pelkey to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Gorneault and Cecile Gorneault (Deschaine); her husband John R. Pelkey Sr.; her children, Roger Pelkey, Gloria Bossie and Joyce Linhares; and her siblings, Albert, Paul Emile, Richard, Donald, Arman, Vincent, Reno Gorneault, Rose Ann Bower, Bertha Duprey, Arlene Beland, Viola Gorneault and Emelia Thornton.

She is survived by: her children, John Pelkey Jr. (Storm Goodwin) of Limestone, Philip Pelkey of Presque Isle, Christine Trahan of Caribou, Janet Sullivan of Fort Fairfield and Lynn Parkhurst of Fort Fairfield; and her siblings, Reginald Gorneault of Bristol, CT, Lionel Gorneault (Carol) of Bristol, CT, Edwina Roderick of Lewiston, Yvette Pickard (Bob) of Poland and Loretta Stec of Saugus, MA. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
