With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley M. Pelkey (Presque Isle, Maine), born in Caribou, Maine, who passed away on July 5, 2018 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne Shorey; her sons, David Shorey and Randy Shorey; and her siblings, Delmer Maxwell, Gordon Maxwell and Marie Howe.

She is survived by: her parents, Sanger E. and Blanche M. Maxwell (Legasse); her children, Michael Shorey, Jeff Shorey of Old Town, Danny Shorey of Caribou and Ruth Bailey; her sisters, Nancy Kummer and Rita Getchell; and her daughter-in-law Linda Maxwell. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
