It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Jean Sawyer (Presque Isle, Maine), born in Washburn, Maine, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Bearl Flewelling and Flora Flewelling (McIntyre); her husband Vernon "Buz" Sawyer; her son Michael; her son-in-law Jim Berry; and her siblings, Muriel Johnson (Gustaf), Kenneth Flewelling and Marguerite Townsend.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Berry of Presque Isle and Jeff Sawyer (Peggy) of Castle Hill; her daughter-in-law Joy Sawyer; her grandchildren, Shawn Berry (Nicole), Matthew Sawyer (Deana), Jeremiah Sawyer and Lacey Sawyer; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Lucy, Isabella, Jackson Sawyer, Parker Sawyer and Tanner Smith; her stepchildren, Rachel and Danna; her stepgrandchildren, Victoria and Sydney; and her sister Patricia Shafman of Elkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
