He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Lyons and Elva Lyons (Haines); his wife Marilyn; his siblings, Peter and Lendall; and his parents-in-law, Ray and Lu McBride.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Lyon (Denise Weidlich) of Sebastian, FL and Deborah Roope (Bill) of Hampden, ME; his stepsons, Brent Grass (Jessica) of Blaine and Neil Grass (Lisa) of Maine; his grandchildren, Matthew Roope (Heidi), Ashley Cooper (Roope), Lindsey Lyon, Joseph Lyon (Tiffany Sparks), Bryant Grass, Logan Grass, Lane Grass and Libby Grass; his great grandchildren, Alexis Cooper, Lilly Chambers, Harley Roope and Caden Lyon; and his brothers, Ken and Galen Lyons.
