He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Henry and Catherine M. O'Brien (Bongiovanni); his grandfather Domenic Bongiovanni; and his uncles, John "Jack" O'Brien and Domenic "Dom" Bongiovanni.
He is survived by: his wife Fran O'Brien (Alongi) of Yarmouth; his children, Jeff O'Brien of Scarborough and Patty O'Brien; his grandsons, Finnegan E. O'Brien and Charles H. O'Brien of Scarborough; his friends, Jimmy, Sandy, Karen, Paul and Fran; and his brother Kenneth R. (Mary O'Brien). He is also survived by several cousins and nieces.
