Nancy Louise McGovern Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Louise McGovern of Portland, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 25, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy Louise McGovern to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Russell and Claris Hawkes Russell; her parents-in-law, Richard and Dorothy McGovern; and her brothers-in-law, Bob McGovern and Dick Harris.

She is survived by: her husband Terry McGovern; her children, Sandy Barlow (Brian) and Mike McGovern (Jill); her grandchildren, Britt (Devon), Storm (Haley), Aaron, Jenna, Stone, Will, Drew, David and Victoria; her great grandchildren, Reese, Cole, Storm and Sunny; her brother Fred Russell (Barb); her sisters-in-law, Nancy Harris, Jeannie Forgues (Ron) and Judy McGovern; and her pet Sweet Pea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home (199 Woodford St, Portland, ME 04103). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.
