He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Jo Hailey and John Vernor Whittenburg. He is survived by: his sister Cathie Whittenburg (Lenny Shedletsky) of Portland; his niece Jo; and his nephew Noah. He is also survived by four great nieces and one great nephew.
