It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Rhodes Merrick (Portland, Maine), who passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Creel Pickel and Betty Pickel; his siblings, Merri and Allen; his wife Eleanor; his children, Gordon Nelson Merrick (Jenna Gardiner) and Jessie Herling (Tom Herling); his grandchildren, Aiden, Sianna, Eben and Colin Herling; and also Margaret Seeler.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at 596 Mountain Rd, Arundel, ME 04046.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude children's hospital, in honor of Gordon's generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
