He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Aceto and Edna Aceto (Swasey); his wife Roberta Aceto; and his sister Mary Aceto. He is survived by: his children, Annette LaMarre (Gil) of Buxton, Charlene Smith (Dale) of Wells, Daniel "Joey" Aceto III (Teresa) of Gray and Kevin Aceto (Maryellen) of South Berwick; and his siblings, Camillo, Sammy, Ralphy, Ted, Chucky, Linda and Dolly. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home (199 Woodford St, Portland, ME 04103). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (673 Stevens Ave, Portland, ME 04103).
