He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Laurence Taylor Sr. and Mary Taylor (DeWitt); his wife Brenda; his sons, Dennis (Juliann), Scott (Lisa), Gary (Angela) and Walter (Sandra); his grandchildren, Diana (Milt), Heath (Sarah), Brad, Bud (Kelsey), Courtney (Tylor), Jeffrey (Kara), Tyler (Alex) and Alex (Shay); and his great grandchildren, Riley, Baylee, Paisley Quinn, Easton and Lauren. He was also cherished by Sons, Inc. with his four sons and later grandchildren.
