It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Barbara Thomas of Port Clyde, Maine, born in Pittsfield, Maine, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francois "Frank" Shaw and Lida Shaw (Howes); her former husband Richard Warren Freeman; her husband Robert Severance Thomas; and her granddaughter Jessica Marie Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Freeman (Jayne), Virginia Foss (John), Robert Thomas (Jo), Martyn Thomas (Luba) and Christopher Thomas (Marliss); her grandchildren, Shawn Thomas, Michael Thomas, Thomas Freeman and John Freeman; her brother John Shaw; and her caregiver Judi.
