He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Richards and Thelma Richards (Peasley); his wife Sandra Stanhope; his brothers, Kenneth and Michael; and his grandson Joe.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Morton (Larry) of Palmyra, Kim Clark (Donald) of Belgrade and James Richards of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Alison, Christopher, Michael, Erin, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Katie and Kylie; his great grandchildren, Zachary, Jacey, Mya, Lexy, Tryston, Grayson, Maddisyn, Matthew, Oakley, Penelope, Landon, Elizabeth, Easton, Finn, Lennon, Hattie and Natalie; and his grandchildren, Billy, Crystal, Chelsea, Nikki, Sage, Ben of Destiny, LB and Paityn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
