He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfredo Santiago and Ethel Marie Menendez; his wife Marie Annabelle Lewis; and his siblings, Marquita Menendez, Helen Courtney, Sylvia Menendez and Dorothy Russell.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal DeWitt; his son-in-law David DeWitt; his granddaughter Dahlia Marie DeWitt of Portland, OR; his sisters, Martha Mourkas (Tom Mourkas) of Freeport, ME and Rosa Menendez of Okinawa; and also Leonard Russell of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
