He was predeceased by: his parents, Earsel Porter and Rachel Porter (Staples); his son Mark Porter; and his siblings, Keith, Pauline, Carl and Patricia.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Frank; his close friend Bill Small; his wife Sandra Porter; his children, Rachel Bergman (Steve), Heidi Lee, Edward Porter (Marie) and Lisa Herzog (Frank Cameron) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Jessica, Meghan, Avery Herzog, Kate Herzog, Cameron Porter and Karissa Spaulding (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Zoey, Cayson and Lila. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
