He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth E. Brooks (Stone) and Herbert M. Brooks of Stone Mountain; and his siblings, Burton Brooks, James Brooks and Nancy Heath.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. Brooks of Phippsburg; his children, Dr. Paul Brooks (Mary Dempsey) of Auburn, Brian Brooks (Nadia Sanchez Pepio) of Durham, Daniel Brooks (Emily) of Scarborough, Lynne Brooks Marquis of Biddeford and Sarah Dudley (Eric Dudley) of Gorham; his sister Sylvia Babcock of Florida; and his grandchildren, Brooks, Jack Marquis, Aidan, Grace Dudley, Dylan, Isla Brooks Sanchez, Annabelle, Samuel and Peter Brooks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
