It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Jonathan Root in Penobscot, Maine, born in Rockland, Maine, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Dr. John A. Sr. Root and Charlotte J. Root; his siblings, Jeanne (Howard Goldberg), Nancy (Ralph Hopkins), Kathryn (Eric White) and John A. Root, Jr. (Susan); and his cousins, Mary Root (Gene Gower) and John Hoadley (Marie). He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.
