Gary Long Obituary
Sherman - Gary Long, 82, died March 4, 2023, in Sherman. He was born August 8, 1940 in Sherman, the son of Percy and Velma (Strait) Long. He enjoyed working cutting trees, making bird houses. He was a great carpenter and he loved long rides through the PD road.
He survived by his wife of 63 years Sheila (Palmer) Long of Sherman, five children, Rick and Debbie Long of Sherman, Ed and Pam Long of Sherman, Jeff and Jen Long of Patten, Wade and Laurie Long of Molunkus and Miranda Anderson of Sherman. Fifteen grandchildren 15 great grandchildren and five siblings Ronald Mcdonald and Shirley of Waterville Gaynor Bates of Ct., Gayland Long and Juanita Paradis of Sherman, Darilee and Frank Conroy of Florida and Bradley and Cheryl Smith of Connecticut. Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Tuesday March 7 at 2 PM at the RIP Museum Island Falls. A spring interment will be in the Patten cemetery.
