She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Leighton; her sister Gloria Trethewey Sawyer; her niece Nancy Mason; and her nephew Dennis Sawyer. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Marcia Cylik (Richard), Kenn Sawyer, Brenda Mason and Philip Sawyer (Suzanne).
