It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Sargent (Palmyra, Maine), born in Troy, Maine, who passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Walker and Lizzie Walker (Penney); her husband Preston Sargent; her children, Geraldine Sargent and Lewis Sargent, Sr.; her granddaughter Glenda Cole; her sons-in-law, George Cole, Laurence Cole, Sr. and Merle Bither, Jr.; and her siblings, Gertrude Ward, Frances Hathaway, Natalie Fuller, Frank Walker and Mervin Walker.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly Cole of Troy, Louise Cole of Thorndike and Mavis Bither of Westbrook; her daughter-in-law Juanita Sargent of Palmyra; and her brother Ronald Walker of Pittsfield.
