It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Rose Carrel of Palermo, Maine, born in Dixmont, Maine, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ridley and Christine Ridley (Hustus); and her siblings, Vivian Waltein, Clifford Ridley and Leslie Ridley.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Carrel; her sons, Rick Shorey (Amy), Bob Shorey (Barbara) of Bucksport and Sam Shorey (Belinda) of Belmont; her stepchildren, Will Carrel (Alicyn), Sonia Carrel (Joe) and Mandy Coleman (Tom) of Dedham; and her siblings, Wendel Ridley and Thelma Kenney. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
