He was predeceased by: his parents, Archibald C. Miles and Clair E. Miles (Barker); his wife Anita; his son Robert Allen Miles; his grandson Dana Bender; his siblings, Donald Miles and Faye Miles; and his stepsister Louise Houston.
He is survived by: his children, John Miles (Julie) and Deanne Miles; his stepdaughter Susan Avery Berger (Tim); his grandchildren, Angie Scangas, Michelle Cloutier, Morgan Miles, William L. Miles and Cory Colby; his great grandchildren, William D. Miles, Benjamin Brown, Tessa Colby and Josselyn Colby; his stepgrandson Christopher Adams; his stepgreat-grandson Aaron Adams; his siblings, David Miles (Rosalie), Natalie McAllister and Lucille Mayo; and his stepsister Mary Porter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
