She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Merrill; her children, James K. Kane and Kristen L. Kane; her grandson Thomas Staples; and her stepdaughter Virginia Merrill Rice.
She is survived by: her parents, Frank A. Paine and Eva M. Cooper Paine; her daughters, Donna Staples (Clarence), Mary Ellen Louque (Vincent) and Karol Smith (James); her daughter-in-law Carol Roma Kane; and her stepchildren, Linda Merrill Tenney and Steven Merrill (Carol). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; as well as 3 step grandchildren and a step great grandson.
