He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyndon Emerson and Frances Emerson (Atheron); and his brother David Emerson. He is survived by: his brother Guy Emerson (Barbara); his children, Deena Emerson (Neal Conant), Patrick Emerson (Marcy), India Jackson (Larry) and BJ Whitesel; his grandchildren, Jerrica-Lynn Frost, Matthew Frost, Heather Jackson, Katelyn Cole and Nathan Whitesel; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Canney, Emmett Webster and Benjamin Webster (Benny).
