He was predeceased by: his parents, Uno J. Ilvonen and Hilma Hill Ilvonen; his siblings, Barbara Linquist and Carl Ilvonen (Elsie); and his children, Shelby L. Pare and Uno (Darla).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret 'Peggy' Packard; his children, Charles F. Knight (Cathy) of Birmingham, AL and Tracy Richardson (Kevin) of Camden; his son-in-law Roger Pare of Owls Head; his grandchildren, Chris Knight (Julie) of Brooklyn, NY, Casey Knight Bass (Patrick) of Birmingham, AL, Uno 'Jake' Ilvonen (Melanie) of Owls Head, Teel Ilvonen of Owls Head, Kalli Ilvonen of Owls Head and Wyatt Berry of Camden; his great grandchildren, Connor Bass, Eleanor Knight, Taavi Ilvonen, Beatrice Knight, Hannah Joy Bass and Kaarina Ilvonen; and his siblings, Mary Orne of Rockland, Kenneth Ilvonen (Kathy) of Owls Head and Elsa MacFarland of Dallas, TX.
