He is survived by: his sons, Doug, Jr. and Steve; his wife Virginia Saastamoinen of Thomaston; his sons, Douglas Crute, Jr. of California and Steven Crute of Nevada; his sister Ramona Ryckman of Cushing; his stepdaughter Karyl Breen (Daniel) of Thomaston; his grandchildren, Matthew Breen (Elizabeth) of South Thomaston, Adam Dugas of Rockport and Katherine Breen of Thomaston; and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Olivia, Tyler Breen of South Thomaston and Tiernan Dugas of South Thomaston.
