He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chalmers and Gertrude Chalmers; and his sisters, Rebecca and Barbara. He is survived by: his former wife Shirley; his children, Steven and Catherine; his son-in-law Tom; his brother Ronald "Buddy"; and his grandson Ethan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
