She was predeceased by: her parents, John McEwen and Luella McEwen (Cook); her son Mark Shackelford; and her siblings, Stanley, Larry, Jack, Dale, Robert McEwen, Shirley Rollins and Violet Caron.

She is survived by: her son Todd Shackelford (Kellie McNinch); her grandchildren, Jordan and Erica; her great grandchild Kristi Shackelford; her siblings, Jeff McEwen, Roger McEwen, Barbara Ulitsch and Jeannette Mailman; and also, Savannah, Anthony, Liam and Jaelon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
