He is survived by: his wife Margaret Mary Rivers; his brother Richard "Dick" Rivers; his children, Diane Rivers-Hooke of Westbrook and Sean E. Rivers of Readfield; his grandchildren, Kevin James Hooke, Haley Morgan Hooke, Nolan James Pease, Hayden James Rivers and Carter Austin Rivers; and his friends, Julie and Tony Murray.
