He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Klimek and Florence Klimek (Horsempa); his wife Mariette B. Klimek; and his siblings, Joseph, John, Henry Klimek, Catherine Warchalowski, Mary Flaherty and Frances Luckie.

He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Gail Thibodeau of Simsbury, CT; his grandchildren, Bryan Thibodeau (Kate Navarra Thibodeau) of Sammamish, WA and Alyson Thibodeau (Christopher Bley) of Boiling Springs, PA; his great grandchildren, Emily, Alex Thibodeau and Simon Bley; his friends, Andre L'Heureux (Susan) of Alexandria, VA and Lori Thompson; his nephew Fred Klimek (Debbie) of Blackwood, NJ.; and also, Joan Daigle, Nancy Mater, Daniel Robinson and Emile.

“I will miss my step-godfather, Emile, tremendously. I loved working on so many puzzles together, our deep conversations about life, our walks on the beach near his beautiful coastal home, dining at the Clam Bake Restaurant and feeding tge sea gulls, and Emile’s hearty laugh and strong hugs. My parents adored their time with Emile and my godmother, Mariette. He is at peace now, together with his beloved wife. My condolences to Ed, Gail and family and neighbors and thank them for their care.”
