Fay I. Fitzgerald Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fay I. Fitzgerald of Ogunquit, Maine, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Fay I. Fitzgerald to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred R. Thornton and Irene Robidoux Thornton; her husband Martin M. Fitzgerald; and her brother Russell W. Thornton. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Mona Thornton; her brother Robert T. Thornton (Eileen); her brother-in-law Jerry Fitzgerald; her children, Martin M. Fitzgerald III of New York City, Jeffrey T. Fitzgerald (Donna) of York, Amy E. Forbes (V. Matthew Forbes) of Ogunquit and Erin F. Peters (Ryan) of Wells, Maine.; and her grandchildren, Jared Fitzgerald (Ariane), Corina Fitzgerald Wagle (Andrew Wagle), Vander Forbes (Gabrielle Poulin), Cole Forbes (Saroja Koneru), Ryan Jr. and Drew Peters (Elisabeth Boberg).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1373 Post Rd, Wells, ME 04090. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ogunquit Memorial Library in honor of Fay's love for reading.
