He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Vashon and Rose Vashon; his former wife Marolyn E Vashon; and his siblings, Lauriette Maheu, Floriane Cote, Raymond Vashon and Reginald Vashon.
He is survived by: his former spouse Marolyn McCarthy; his daughters, Sheila (Scott Nielsen) of Oakland, ME and Pamela (Gary Moline); his wife Meredith E. Vashon of Benton, ME.; his grandchildren, Zachary Nielsen of Thorndike, ME, Zoe Nielsen of Hermon, ME., Justin LaVerdiere of Fort Myers, FL and Taylor LaVerdiere of Naples, FL.; his stepdaughter Barbara Zook (Ahmed Hassanein) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, James Randolph of Gloucester, VA, John Gannon of Richmond, VA, Megan Major of Murfreesboro, TN and Kenneth Zook of Murfreesboro, TN.; his stepdaughter Susan Tidd (Kurt) of Greenville, NC; his grandchildren, Stephanie Getchell, NJ and Samantha Getchell of Westbrook, ME.; and his sister Jeanne Giguere of Enfield, CT.
