He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilhelm Hartung and Marie Hartung; his son Michael (Nikki) of Londonderry, NH; his wife Jutta Hartung of Augusta; his son Mark (Misty) of San Jose, CA; his sister Marika Valentin of Unkenbach, Germany; and his sister-in-law Ingeborg Wissel of Murnau, Germany. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
