He was predeceased by: his father Preston Murdock Gillis; and his sister Brenda Gillis. He is survived by: his mother Alice Maud Gillis of Waterville; his significant other Debora L. Frati of Norway; his brother Wayne (Barbara) of Fairfield; his children, Chad of Cumberland and Carrie Ovrid (Chris) of CleElum, Washington.; his grandson Tristan Gillis (Destiny Miller) of Snohomish; and his great grandchild Wesley Gillis.
Because of the COVID 19 conditions there will not be a public celebration of John's life at this time.
