He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Payne and Clara Payne; and his siblings, Dorothea Ayer, Muriel Kilgore, Beverly Pelletier, Janice Holmes and Terry Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Nurmi; his children, Tamara Cohen (Neal), Stuart Payne (Noriko Imai) and Carmen Aliber; his grandchildren, Molly Farrington (Derek), Sarah Urbonas, Rachel Sullivan (Anthony), Jayce Payne and Tia Payne; his great grandchildren, Joshua "JT" Farrington and Mason Sullivan; and his son-in-law Mike Urbonas.
