He is survived by: his parents, Connie Brookes and Jack Brookes; his former wife Debbie Theobald; his daughters, Cameron (Brandon Brookes) of Vineyard Haven, Kylie Brookes (Carlos Quesada) of Alameda and Makenzie Brookes (Christopher Anderson) of West Tisbury, Mass.; his grandchildren, March and Hartwin of West Tisbury; his stepson Matthew Kovach of Huntington Beach, Calif.; his friend Ellen Garland of Brunswick; his brothers, Jeff (Luanne) of Cumberland, Jamie of Yarmouth and Toby (Kelly) of Palo Alto, Calif; his nieces and nephews, Jonathan Balzano-Brookes (Jackie) of Portland, Gabe Balzano-Brookes of Boston, Ashley Brookes of High Point, N. C., Kerry Brookes of Yarmouth, Jack Brookes of Tassajara and Hadley Brookes of San Francisco, Calif.; his cousin Mickey Gilmor (Henry Kahn) of Atlanta; and his son Case St. He is also survived by his three daughters and three grandchildren who remained at the very top of the list, until his death: his brothers and nieces and nephews.
