He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth B. Smith and Gertrude E. Smith (Ames); his son Dale; and his wife Rachel. He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Gagne (Patrick) of North Berwick and Darlene Louks (Gary) of Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
