He is survived by: his children, Thomas Hilton (Carol Axtell), Oakland, James Hilton (Liz), Norridgewock, Ann Cavanaugh (Dan), Klamath Falls, Judith Tuttle (George) and Benton; his grandchildren, Jesse Hilton, Ben Hilton, Alex Hilton, Shannon Hilton, Robin Thompson and Samantha Pelkey; and his siblings, Ellen Savard, Caroline Sturtevant, Polly Andrews, Mary Shorey and Bernard Hilton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
