He is survived by: his wife Patricia Small; his children, Katherine Chapin (Thomas), Bruce (Jill) and Christopher; and his grandchildren, Emily Chapin (Brad Vollkommer), Colin Chapin (Sarah), Sarah Skilling and Taylor Skilling. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
