She was predeceased by: her sisters, Janice Girardin and Joan Bryant; her brother-in-law Edward Girardin; her brother Jesse Vining, Jr.; and her son George Merton Lowell.
She is survived by: her husband George M. Lowell; her daughters, Elizabeth McLatchy (Donald Knight), Pam Waite and Wendy Mitchell; her grandchildren, Krista Haley (Michael), Kayle McLatchy, Jacob Waite, Chelsea Waite, Emily Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell and Savannah Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Emma Knight, Kaidyn Haley and Baby Haley; her sisters, Linda Hutchinson (Jan) and Sandra Fish (Larry); and her brother-in-law Bert Bryand. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
