He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernice Wells Merrill and Maurice Merrill; his sister Blanche Higgins; his son Bruce; his wife Carolee Merrill of New Vineyard; his siblings, Harris Merrill of Anson, Nettie Spencer (Steve) of Windsor, Arlene Davis of New Vineyard and Sandra Dexter of Kingfield; his children, Shirley Lidstone (Mel) of Unity, Tom Merrill (CJ) of Texas, Janet Tracy (Rodney) of New Vineyard and Roger Merrill (Doreen) of New Vineyard; his grandchildren, Holly Lidstone Hill (Chad) of Norway, Jeff Merrill of Texas, Andy Merrill (Tara) of Texas, Jennifer Merrill of Texas, Bruce Merrill (Savannah) of Wilton, Jared Merrill (Becky) of Virginia, Greg (Nickie) of Alaska, Kyle Tracy (Kelby) of Massachusetts and Justin Tracy of Georgia; and his great grandchildren, Hope Hill, Evalet, Amelia, Dean Merrill, Ethan Merrill, Allison Merrill, Logan, Mallory Merrill and Braelyn Merrill.
