She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Taylor and Regina Taylor; her husband Merton Petrie; and her sister Jackie Taylor Bernier. She is survived by: her siblings, Tom Taylor (Pam) of Farmington, Shirley Rau of New Sharon, Gail Thompson of New Sharon, Judy Ellis (Darcy) of New Sharon, Vickie Oliver (Bob) of Wisconsin, Pamela Wood (George) of Anson and Rick Taylor of New Sharon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as Merton's children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wiles Remembrance Center (137 Farmington Falls Rd, Farmington, ME 04938). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. Barb volunteered for many years at Franklin Memorial Hospital until the COVID pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara requested that remembrance gifts be given to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 550 Industry Road, Farmington, ME 04938.
