Jane Elizabeth Zimmerman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2024, at the age of 71, Jane Elizabeth Zimmerman (New Limerick, Maine) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son James; her brother Timothy; and her parents, Leon and Jacqueline. She is survived by: her husband Tom; her children, Meghan (Nathan) of Hodgdon and Christian (Kathleen) of Montgomery; her grandchildren, Haley, Miles, Elizabeth, Alexander, Madison and Lexi; her siblings, Harry (Cindy) and Susan; and her sister-in-law Jacqualine.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the County Road Baptist Church (1643 County Rd, New Limerick, ME 04730). Deep, soul-wrenching grief swept over her when the shadow of COVID-19, loomed and when her declining health doubled down on the prospect of ever returning to any of her loved communities; it was a dark, crushing day indeed. After enjoying decades of a healthful lifestyle, for the next four years Jane was chasing the elusive winds of recovery through the Covid riddled halls of modern medicine, multiple hip surgeries and naturopathic treatments succumbing to the ravages of Alzheimer's ultimately coming to rest at the portal of the perfect heavenly cure.
