The passing of Evelyn Carter Hardie (Mount Desert, Maine) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Edgar and Lottie Carter (Ladd); and her siblings, Mildred Emerton, Blanche Davis, Rebecca Tainter, Mina Gray and Albert Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Bray (James, Sr.) of Deer Isle, Christine Ebert (Robert, Sr.) of Blue Hill, Pearl K. Hardie (Diane) of Sunset and Phyllis Hardie of Ellsworth; her grandchildren, James Bray, Jr. (Jennie), Calvin Bray (Carrie), Daniel Bray, Robert Ebert, Jr., Jessica Ebert and Jason J. Hardie (Kaitee Fraughton); and her sister Rachel Munson. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ (130 Beechland Rd, Ellsworth, ME 04605).
