It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Coombs (Mount Desert, Maine), born in Bar Harbor, Maine, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold F. Coombs and Marguerite F. Coombs (Swan); his son James S.; and his siblings, Harold (Sonny), Dwight, Dolores and Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his close friends, Jim and Joelle Nolan; his wife Karen R. Coombs (Esterberg); and his children, Steven E. Coombs (Randi Closson) of Trenton, Cindy Luiz (Ed) of Jewett City, CT., Robert Coombs (Donna) of Griswold, CT., Sandra Fish (Fish) of Lisbon, CT., David (Kim) of Kingsport, TN., Lynn Flegert (Ray) of Lebanon, CT., Michael Gordon (Lynnette) of Cape Elizabeth, Tracy Vadala (Tony) of Londonderry, NH. and Billy Gordon (Minh) of Gray. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren and many extended family.
